ArabCor
ArabCor, the Arabic-language choir of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Prof. Wael Farouq, Director of ACI. The idea of creating a student choir arose from the desire to go beyond traditional classroom teaching and offer an educational tool for learning Arabic through the beauty of musical art.
According to Prof. Farouq, language does not exist in an abstract, empty space; rather, it has a body - a body that is art: literature, theatre, cinema, drawing, photography, music, dance and, in this case, singing. Not individual singing, but collective singing, to emphasise the value of encounter.
