The Arabic-language theatre workshop was created to offer students of Arabic language and culture an innovative educational experience that combines language learning with theatrical practice.

The Arabic Cultural Institute organized a training program in Arabic language for the staff of the Milano Welcome Center of the Municipality of Milan, the city's access point for services dedicated to migrants and refugees.

ArabCor, the Arabic-language choir of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Prof. Wael Farouq, Director of ACI. The idea of creating a student choir arose from the desire to go beyond traditional classroom teaching and offer an educational tool for learning Arabic through the beauty of musical art.

Each year, we offer an Arabic calligraphy course for beginners, open to everyone. The course combines both theoretical and practical components, providing a well-balanced learning experience. It explores styles ranging from classical to more modern forms of Arabic calligraphy.

In collaboration with the Milano Welcome Center of the Municipality of Milan, the city’s main access point to services dedicated to migrants and refugees, the Arabic Cultural Institute contributes to an Italian language program designed for Arabic-speaking unaccompanied minors. The initiative aims to support their integration journey through Italian language learning, providing them with the linguistic tools necessary to navigate everyday life and access educational opportunities.

The Arabic Cultural Institute implemented a cultural support and training program at the Cesare Beccaria Juvenile Detention Center, addressing the correctional staff. Through Arabic language classes and cultural education, the program supports staff in developing greater awareness of the linguistic, cultural and social backgrounds of the young people they work with.

The course introduces the main techniques of dialogue interpreting through practical exercises and simulations of professional situations. Participants will work on realistic dialogues, learning how to manage communication between the parties and convey messages clearly and effectively between Arabic and Italian. The course is aimed at participants with an intermediate or advanced level of Arabic and Italian and will be adapted to their needs.

The Arabic Cultural Institute has implemented a cultural and educational support program at the Cesare Beccaria Juvenile Detention Centre, aimed at Arabic-speaking young detainees. Through Arabic language and culture courses, the program provides young detainees with the opportunity to maintain a connection with their cultural and linguistic heritage.

The Arabic Cultural Institute organized a literary program dedicated to exploring East-West relationships through Arabic literature, featuring reading sessions, discussions and cultural encounters focused on Arabic literary works. The program offered participants the opportunity to engage with Arabic literature, discover contemporary authors, and reflect on the cultural, historical and social themes emerging from the texts.

The Arabic Cultural Institute organized a series of film screenings dedicated to exploring the richness of Arab cinema and its ability to address historical, social and cultural themes.
